Crisis Management Tabeletop Exercise
Why is it important to conduct a crisis management tabletop exercise?
Most often, a crisis management plan is prepared and it seems like just another document that should contain all the necessary information. Is that really the case?
Until the moment when a crisis hits. Then it often turns out that this document is of no use, because there is a lot of information in it, but it does not help to solve the crisis systematically.
A tabletop exercise is the easiest way to play through the crisis resolution process with minimal time and test the validity of the plan. It highlights critical shortcomings that prevent effective crisis resolution.
